Water source will also be something to consider. There are so many ways to provide water. You can simply use your home’s water supply, although this could become expensive. You could also look into trapping the rainwater in a rain barrel. This is a great option for both conservational issues as well as financial reasons. Either way, your garden is going to need water so it is important to plan ahead.

Due to the limited area in small gardens, the use of accessories can help to create more of an impact. Incorporating lighting will accentuate warmth. Garden furniture might be used to create a focal point or simply a sitting area.

Having some small garden problems? Who does not? Sometimes, no matter how hard you try,  your garden does not turn out as well as expected. However, sometimes there are uncomplicated solutions to these problems. Before you throw in the gardening gloves and accept brown thumb, check the following list of easy solutions to some of the most typical gardening issues.

Weeds are wrecking my garden – The battle against weeds may seem like a never ending war. One reason why weeds continue to be such a hassle is because only half of the plant is actually attacked. The best thing when it comes to the war on weeds is to buy weed wand and herbicide.  The wand will make it easier to monitor the amount of chemicals used and where it goes. Apply the herbicide on the leaves mature and new growth.

Those sneaky, creepy grass and weeds are on my paved areas –  Do you have grass and weeds creeping on your stairs, driveways and other places where they should not be?   Try mixing vinegar and water and spraying it on the unwelcome guests.  You can also try salt water on these pesky guys.  Just be careful because the mixtures can also harm your wanted plants.

My plant’s leaves are looking a little yellow –  yellow leaves are commonly cause by two issues.  Your plant may either be hungry or you might have a problem with insects. Check the leaves for insects. If you find any creepy crawlies that should not be there, check out your local garden supply store for some pesticide or oil spay.

Finally, an important thing to remember when it comes to gardening is that gardening has a lot to do with trial and error, especially if you are just starting. Some plants may die, some plants can thrive. All this is part of the gardening adventure.
